In this article I present the main events that are expected to take place in the month of July in the cryptocurrency market. The occurrence of the events presented here is not guaranteed, and delays or even cancellation of one or all the events may occur. STEPN ($GMT) China Accounts Removed

 

The platform has been advising users residing in China to sell their assets on the STEPN platform. It is expected that during the month of July STEPN will clear all accounts based in mainland China for local compliance reasons. The news was advanced by Uquid, which states that the STEPN platform will block users in Chinese territory through its mobile application.

 

Cardano ($ADA) Vasil Hardfork

IOG (Input Output Global) Engineering Team is close to finalizing the core work to complete the mainnet hard fork work (Vasil Hardfork). According to the work team, this is the most complex program developed to date. After the completion of hard fork the testnet is expected to take 4 weeks for exchanges and SPOs to carry out any required integration and testing work. This is planned for the end of July.


Hedera ($HBAR) Quarterly Testnet Release

With the goal of ensuring a better developer experience by clearing the network of outdated data, getting rid of spam, and supporting long-term system maintenance, the Hedera core team will be resetting the testnet quarterly, starting at the end of July.  Starting at the end of July, the Hedera core team will reset the testnet every three months.

 

ThorChain ($RUNE) Planned Obsolescence

In order to control the Cost of Corruption (CoC), the THORChain team openly announced its planned obsolescence in July 2022. According to THORChain, the proper method to handle this is to be completely unvested on that day, having consumed all the treasury, and leave the network.
